That 100% makes sense. I really don't know why someone wouldn't make general pricing information public, unless they're one of those brilliant talents that's so good that they can pick and choose the commissions they take.

So obviously I can only speak for myself, but I think that most comm artists will agree: I'm perfectly happy for a client to tell me what's outside of their budget, as it gives me a chance to figure out how to get them a piece they can afford! Figuring out how to meet a need is part of the job 😁

I reference the Designing Dungeons course literally every time I'm writing game prep material, I can't recommend this highly enough (and it's FREE)

Sometimes in dungeon crawls, when the party is traversing familiar rooms, one player adopts the role of like, checking in with the group & saying the "we move on to the next room to the north" inputs out loud. Reminds me of gathering around a CRT screen in the 90s while one kid played. Good feeling.
