Searching for advice:
For a costume we made fur pants. These pants are worn often and for a long time, which is why the fur in the crotch first becomes matted and then falls out.
Any ideas how I can stop or at least slow down that process?

Today I sat down and checked what I already had and what I was still missing.
Yeah, let's say I maybe wrote Part 1 and 2 at the same time as I'm now up to 24 Chapters on 250 pages and am still missing like at least 1/3 of the story.
How did that happen?

When I started writing my book I was like 'Okay, maybe I have enough for a short novel". A long the way I got to a point where I thought 'Okay, maybe it will be enough for a book in the order of magnitude of HP'.

Google Doc corrected a word from "weiterging" to "weiter ging". Okay, no problem.
Seconds later it wants me to correct it back to "weiterging". And so on.
I'm stuck with Schrödingers Spelling...

Do you know that feeling of having kind of a "first world problem" that really bothers you but others won't get it if you tell them?

When I started my book project I was scared I would not have enough material.
I'm now 200 pages in the project, still have 6 big scenes to write and just found a 20 page doc with plot I had forgotten about.
I think I'll be fine 😂

I really need to work on my bad habit of having something to do during a video call.
I always think I'm listening 100%, but in the end it's maybe 50%.
On the one hand, I feel quite rude and regret it.
On the other hand, if I don't do anything during the call, I can't even listening 25% of the time

When I was brainstorming a name for a project with a friend I asked him what he associates with me.
He told me that he loved my ability to play antagonists which were dark but always with a little spark of light. And my fable for Larp weapons.

I don't have that much time to read and I don't want to be that kind of person holding all the good books from the library hostage on my desk 😭😭😭

I'm at the point where I have to make deals with myself:
I have to finish at least one of the books from the library before I'm allowed to pre-order another one I want to read!

After being a sah mum for 3 years -at times during a pandemic- in a city I don't know anybody makes me feel like that will definitely shorten my life!

This morning my bread rolls burned while I was having a dance party with my daughter and my hubby in the bathroom.
And I think there was never a better reason for burned food.

Took my baby girl to her first Kids Metal concert and honestly those musicians are highly underrated. It was fabulous and I really understand why they are invited to Wacken this year 🤘🏻

I'm actually decluttering my apartment and I always feel kind of messy when I throw out all that stuff.
Can't remember I bought it.
Turns out, every time I start a new round of decluttering I'm just not attached to the stuff I kept the last time.
So not messy, just the normal change of life

Just had that situation again when I had some kind of hack for a special project and it didn't work for me then.
But now I'm working on a different project and that particular hack came back on my mind and worked like a charm.
I always love when that happens 🤩

I just hit the 50k words-mark with my book and it is now about as long as "The Great Gatsby".
My final goal for next year is about 100k ("HP and the goblet of fire" has about 108k.

First it took me like 2h getting there, the check up, donating, waiting to be allowed to go home and drive back home.
Then I was forced to chill on the couch because I know everything else would have knocked me off my feet 🤷🏻‍♀️

But I told myself it's hard to count that, every one has problems with that, yada yada yada...
And then there was my chain armor.

For 2025 I'm not making new year's resolutions.
Instead I'm giving the new year a theme to live by which will be "1%".
If I manage to exit 2025 1% better than I entered it - I won!

#nanowrimo is over and I managed to write almost 25.000 words over 28 days last month.
I'm totally aware that the "official goal" was 50.000 words.
But I am now 25.000 words closer to my goal and that's all that matters

I was raised bilingual and I have lived in Germany for 30 years.
But I really get the point of Dylan Moran saying the German language sounds like "a typewriter eating tinfoil and being kicked down the stairs".

It's really hard to finish this project with a little treasure goblin that either tries to steal all your shiny supplies and tools or needs your entire time.
