That clattering post-punk sound that crawled out of mid-80s Industrial Britain was unique, chaotic and glorious. Quite how Sheffield’s Tinned Meats recreated that and invested it with gorgeous melodies, angular rhythms, and magnificently uncanny lyrics is beyond me. I'm just happy they did.

And I fear this won't be solved by the proposed new high-speed rail network, which will significantly damage farmlands and communities, rather than fix the cost and efficiencies lacking in the current system.
