We obviously cannot count on the media. The ONLY institution that is left more or less functional are the Generals. The troops refused to march in formation for his birthday parade and the Generals refused to applaud, even when Trump begged. This may not end until we have a military coup.

"Blue ribbon commission" is such a time-honored dick move, the tactic seemed as old as Biden himself seemed. The problem we have is that even with some younger people in the Dem leadership (meaning in their 60s and 70s) the whole party seems to be stuck in a time that no longer exists.

The implication of this post is that if those influencers were under Putin's control in the past, that at least raises the question whether Putin has now decided he has no further use for Trump.

The bigger special deal was the exemption from Medicaid cuts. I believe that was what Rand Paul was mainly referring to. Why do Kentuckians lose Medicaid funding, but Alaskans keeps theirs? Maybe Paul should hold out too, when the final bill gets back to the Senate. Maybe EVERY Senator should.

How often do we read stories of medical staff working 12-hour or even 18-hour shifts when the ER is overflowing with patients? How often do we see stories about people who work 3 jobs to keep family alive? The B-2 isn't especially hard to fly. It has all the best avionics and conditions were good.

When did Trump ever NOT blame Democrats for the problems Trump brought upon himself? Has Trump ever in his entire time on this planet ever accepted any accountability for his actions? Of course he will blame Democrats.

It is called being media-savvy. It would be understandable if a video feed from your home or office desk was a new thing invented a couple of months ago. But this tech has been out there, especially for people in high government positions for 30+ years. I was doing this on ISDN in the early 90s.

Trump had better get Buttigieg's number on speed dial to fix the problems once it hits hard. But seriously, it is not a shipping issue. It is a SHIPPER issue. Nobody trusts Trump. Trade requires stability. And nobody wants to make tribute payments to Trump to get exemptions.

This is huge and being ignored. Most China tariffs are still on, but delayed for others. Regardless, NOBODY want to ship anything because cargo could be stranded en route if Trump wakes in a bad mood. Even during worst of COVID, some shipping continued. This will be worse for supply chains.

Schumer's generation of Dems have never offered ANY bold plans or clear vision for anything. And when others try, these fossils shout them down. The last bold ideas from Dems were in the 60s with Apollo and the Great Society. Since then, it has been mostly empty suits without ideas or convictions.
