I’m just amazed at the idea that you could announce a great-looking game from industry veterans starring MA DONG-SEOK and quietly write it off, hanging all that talent out to dry. 2026 is exhausting, and I really wish the games industry could feel like a stable place to work.

I feel like RE9 versus the Ethan duology is a perfect example of this. Ethan is a blank slate, so you just kinda feel things as they’re presented to you, which can be scary! But Grace’s trembling hands and breath make Requiem so much scarier, then Leon’s calm and experience make it an action game.
