This is utter, nonsensical bullshit.
Their fecklessness comes from the fact that they're feckless fucking cowards.
βAs a final message to our warriors, the Ivy League faculty lounges may loathe you, the so-called elite of academia may mock your patriotism and disdain your sacrifice, but never forget that we the War Department have your back.β
First of all -- fuck you, Pete. None of this is happening in the faculty lounges of your fever dreams.
Second, I've taught military personnel in our PhD programs and if you think slamming the door to Harvard and Princeton in their faces is "having their back" you're even dumber than you sound.

When I was at MIT I knew a few nuclear sub officers who came from the military to study nuclear engineering at MIT. Now that is banned.
Strikes me that letting military members draw on the full resources the US has available to learn makes us all safer.
My dad, an officer on nuclear subs who studied at Berkeley. My uncle got his PhD in Nuclear Engineering at Virginia - fellowship at Harvard. After his retirement as a Major General, this academic training helped, when he managed Los Alamos National Laboratory for a stint. They helped keep us safe.

The government illegally took your money.
They wonβt give it back.
the fact the president of the united states is even thinking about asserting emergency powers to disrupt an election - just a few years after he incited an armed coup attempt - should be the top issue. but the media mostly shrugs and the opposition doesnt focus on it.

As of tonight, licenses of trans people across Kansas are being invalidated en masse, enabling the overnight criminalization of an entire group of people for going about our lives. Itβs often said you never know when youβre living through history, so let me assure you: thatβs whatβs happening now.

The Constitution clearly gives Congress the power to spend taxpayer funds, and no law allows the president to halt if he feels some US states arenβt being βgood stewardsβ of the money.
In case thereβs any confusion on this, the Impoundment Control Act forbids it.
