I have zero expectations for LNP - and they exceed those expectations every day.

I did however have some expectations for Labor - and I now feel completely betrayed.

I truly didn’t think they would be this bad.

Could and should be so different 😞😞 #auspol

As it should be!! C’mon Australia what are we doing? We have the #solar & #wind #energy surplus. Why are we intent of destabilising the #CarbonCycle with old destructive technologies?

Australian newspaper headline: Darwin LNG plant suspected of under-reporting cancer-causing emissions.

Australian newspaper headline: Darwin LNG plant suspected of under-reporting cancer-causing emissions.

Oil and gas giant Inpex has admitted to srsly under-reporting its cancer-causing pollution (incl. benzene, sulphur dioxide & hydrogen sulphide) just days before a major oil spill at their Darwin gas plant. Inpex is a major gas exporter. Last year they paid no royalties and no resource tax! #auspol

A Deloitte report warns that natural gas could crowd out renewables undermining the WA Government’s claim that LNG exports support Asia’s clean energy transition.

β€œThe report was kept secret…it cost taxpayers $400,000 and didn't support the Government’s claims.”

β€˜Horrific’ mass koala starvation hits Victorian island Distressed locals have told of desperate koalas falling from trees and trying to eat vegetation such as pine needles.

Geez, if you love nature and our precious habitat for animals, plantlife (and us) - everyday in this country feels like a fucking funeral :(

As a progressive Labor voter, who supports "Labor values", I'm utterly disgusted by both the Albanese Labor Govt at a federal level and the Minns Labor Govt in NSW. On so many important issues, they seem to be clones of the Liberals. Voting Greens and Independents from now on. 😠 #auspol #nswpol

Fortescue: Fuel Tax Credit makes diesel 'artificially cheap', overhaul needed for climate A Fortescue executive has called for a major overhaul of Australia’s $11 billion fuel tax credit scheme, arguing it undermines the nation’s climate goals by making diesel β€œartificially cheap”.

Even the big iron ore miner, Fortecue, says its time to rein in Australia’s $10 billion per year expenditure on diesel fuel subsidies…imagine all the housing, renewables and cheap education we could have if we took #climate or tax policy seriously.

Fun fact: Santos has paid $0 in corporate tax in the last 10y while selling $48bn of Australian gas.

Santos buys gas domestically and sells it overseas, increasing the price of Australian gas in our own market.

Our govt must reserve gas for our domestic industries and homes.
