It’s disheartening to see Teen Vogue dissolved into Vogue and its political team let go. For years, it was one of the few mainstream spaces that made room for honest, radical commentary on justice, inequality & the world we actually live in. I’m grateful it gave me a home for so many of my op-eds

We're seeing in real time that many people are already in hell in that they carry hell with them wherever they go. Those making fun of people on SNAP are already in hell.

This Is the Way You Beat Trump β€” and Trumpism

Ezra Klein This Is the Way You Beat Trump β€” and Trumpism

I saw a poll a few weeks ago that struck me. It was from The New York Times and Siena University. It asked Americans what they thought the top problem facing the country was. No. 1 was the economy. That was what I expected. But No. 2 wasn’t immigration or inflation or democracy or climate change or even Trump. It was political division. In that same poll, 64 percent of the country said we’re too divided to solve our problems. They’re not wrong.

I hear it when Trump says, β€œI hate my opponent and I don’t want the best for them.” When I hear that, I hear something scary, but I also hear an opening, an opportunity: In the end, most Americans want America to work. They know we disagree with one another. They don’t want us to hate one another.

I will never understand the pundit obsession with getting Democrats to solve "political division."

Not only is this what they're already doing, but Klein admits that Republicans will never do the same. So elections will remain constant GOP smears and simping Democratic promises of bipartisanship.

If you're new to Nashville, some info in a 🧡. Our tornado season here runs from tonight (when we start getting Fall cold fronts) until about June. While tonight's severe/tornado risk is pretty low, this is good practice for later. (1/6)

Are you starting to get it? He was always going to hit us. You will not change the math by insisting that people assume some magical form of perfect victimhood that somehow reels in a monster. That's not real. And I am so sick of hearing it.

He was always going to do this. Chicagoans have not rioted, so the administration just lied and said we have. We have not attacked ICE agents, so they just lied and said we did. There was no chaos here, so they created chaotic scenes by attacking people and filmed that shit.

Y'all who keep lecturing protesters to "not give them an excuse" need to pause for a minute. Imagine yourself telling a DV victim, "Be sure not to mouth off or make any mistakes so he won't hit you. Don't give him an excuse! It's what he wants!" That's what you fools sound like.

I just know that we are all meant for so much more.

That’s what’s so frustrating. It’s knowing deep in your soul that this isn’t the way things are supposed to be. It was made this way. And just as it was made. It can be unmade.

Tweet from the VP:
Joy Reid has had such a good life in this country. It's been
overwhelmingly kind and gracious to her. She is far wealthier than most.
Yet she oozes with contempt.
My honest, non-trolling advice to Joy Reid is that you'd be a much
happier person if you showed a little gratitude

Weaponized gratitude is a key tool in the abuser's toolkit. The goal is to convince the victim that they owe the abuser so much, they should feel guilty for wanting to complain.

HOW IT STARTED VS. HOW IT'S GOING

In 2019, I was cited for protesting our former Speaker of the House, now serving time for corruption. In 2025, I'm the only woman running in this seat. Women don't wait for permission to lead β€” we fight, we build, and we change the game.

One thing that comes through awfully clearly in these ICE videos is how many of these goons gravitated toward the job because being able to assault people with impunity is a big thrill for them.

I wish more people understood that them not liking what I say, or how I say it, doesn’t make me wrong. Sometimes I am wrong. More often than I want to be, for sure. But when I’m not, their strong preference for a different outcome won’t change that fact.

Obsessed with the idea that there’s some kind of β€œsharp rightward shift in the electorate” though πŸ˜‚ the Dems who saw November as some kind of overwhelming mandate & then thought the best way forward was adjusting messaging & policy proposals to align with fascism as much as possible are fascinating
