BioShock as a series is so interestingly lib brained because it goes in depth critiquing right wing ideology in so much nuance then the moment it tries to show the shades of grey with socialism or anarchism the best it has is “they’re too mean.”

Binfinite did this too as we all know, but that at least had the courage to be offensive and evil instead of boring

I’ve come around somewhat on Fontaine, he’s not as compelling a villain but he at least makes sense as the ideologically empty result of Ryan’s idealism. Lamb just feels like another attempt at horseshoe theory by writers who lack any understanding of socialism so she’s just pointlessly arrogant.

BioShock 2 does sort of make me think a remake of the first could potentially go hard because it really does smooth out so many rough edges, while expanding and rebalancing the gameplay very intelligently, but Sophia Lamb feels like some chud’s caricature of a tumblerista
