New artwork for Numenera! "To Emerald City Above", acrylics 20x10''. Btw, this is definitely my weird take on Wizard of Oz. The city is obvious, but I rather enjoyed interpreting the adventuring party riding a giant dog-eared jellyfish with a sphinx, robot, and construct in the mix.

Ancient stone ruins lie half-buried beneath snow and moss, tucked deep within a quiet winter forest. A narrow path leads past crumbling walls toward a dark cave entrance carved into the rock.

The canopy of a colossal tree can be seen rising from a glade within the heart of the wood. Encircled by ancient standing stones and rings of bermed earth, a great treant is flanked by smaller trees growing to its north, south, east and west. Their root networks intertwine to create a hazardous forest floor of woody knots and trip hazards, concealed under piles of oversized leaf detritus.

It's a very WotC move to try and wait until they think they can weather outrage over AI, but accidentally waiting until AI art is seen as art for boomers and grifters
