4 Months ago Stormzy couldn't walk with a brain injury. He'd been told he had to be put to sleep.

Today I got to go and visit him in his new home.

The world needs more Stormzy right now!!! Can't stop smiling after today

I just started watching Generation Kill. 'White man's gotta rule the world'. Fairly accurate summary 😞

I will keep them forever. There's a bit in the Princess and the Frog where she throws the frog against a wall. I remember saying 'I did not see that coming!' and my son in stitches. My favourite was the Magic Paintbrush. I hope kids still have books and not just tablets and kindles.

I've got a set of these from when I was small, and my kids loved them. Especially the magic porridge pot and the giant turnip. But my goodness it didn't end well for chicken licken, the gingerbread man, the wolf, the troll or the escaped pancake. luckily the kids thought they were hilarious.

just to be clean and warm and fed and parasite-free must be heaven for an old street dog.

You see a cute video. We see a non-paid water taxi/uber fare.

I’m not hiking for the cardio; I’m hiking for the tiny miracles.

I’m obsessed with the tiny signs of hope hidden on the trail, like the first flowers of early spring. In a loud world, these small, persistent cycles are where I find my peace.

Sign. Near an old railway station in Devon. "Great Western Railway NOTICE. It is forbidden for vagrants, beggars, itinerant musicians and females of doubtful reputation to enter these premises." There's what looks like a black drainpipe next to it, but this is actually the station's old 1940s "soda funnel" where country urchins from the area waiting for their fathers to return from war by rail would gather around and collectively suck a shit, early version of orangeade, made from carrots and soil, out of the bottom of it.

it's beautiful but I could not have lived there. I was so relieved you moved. My dad has instilled in me a primal fear of flooding and rot (and subsidence and falling trees). The worry would keep me awake. I'm going to have to live at least 2m above sea level for the rest of my life.

Four years ago Russia began it's full scale invasion of Ukraine. They expected it to fall in days. They were wrong. Long live Ukraine.

Few sights gratify me more on a long equinoxical walk than an eerie weather-ravaged tree playing conductor to a screaming sky.
