fyi i released a game on itch for a game jam, as per usual it's not even close to as good as i had in my head because my head blows scope way out of proportion but it is my first time trying to make art happen so if you wanna check it out feel free!

i was interested in marathon but i think i am taking a stand against games that cost money and then have $20 cosmetics on top of that. some cosmetic dlc is fine, a game existing to sell cosmetic dlc is not fine

i often feel hopeless but am eventually able to figure out some reasone to be hopeful. anthropic announcing it won't kill people being immediately followed by chatgpt partnering with the US military might be the thing that gets me stuck. can't see a single reason to remain hopeful right now

oh also if u tolerate 2D platformers super metroid is straight up one of my fave games of all time and i didn't grow up with it so i don't think it could be nostalgia lol

i think it's a lot to learn, but it's so much more fun than the normal game! It's almost like a metroidvania so it really makes the item designs shine

its such a cool device. I have been using it just to play ocarina of time randomizer so far and it rocks. battery life is also super good

As someone who was, I think, an effective note-taker in college, this discourse about LLM note-takers is alarming. For me, the act of *taking* notes is the important part. If I had thrown the notes away immediately after a lecture or reading a chapter I'd still have gotten 80% of the value.
