I probably come off as a Drury apologist, but he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. He traded Trocheck for a meh return and he's roasted. He holds onto him and he's also roasted. Anything but a HR would have been ridiculed. He saw he wasn't going to get a home run. Definitely risky.

Ryan Strome lives through a Ducks rebuild only to get traded at the end of it back to a rebuilding Calgary Flames. That's tough.

I really, really wasn't expecting the Rangers to be this quiet. Wild stuff.

The Rangers have an extremely easy schedule this month. Play only ONE playoff team (Minnesota). Three games against the Devils, two against the Jets, and games against Toronto, Florida, Ottawa, Philadelphia and the Kings. Feels like they're going to be getting WAY too many points for my liking.

That was a lot of trades to wake up to. Carrick to Buffalo for two picks is fine. I didn't see them getting more than a third for him, so to get the added sixth is a plus. The more spins the better.

Chmelar now has as many NHL goals as Brennan Othmann.
