It looks like this could be a game changer - something akin to Monday Night Football. I am imagining @joshpd.bsky.social being the Gary Neville to @pepsmccrea.bsky.social version of Jamie Carragher.

Their values-driven leadership is apparent and they are clearly dedicated to a cycle of continuous improvement, never resting on their laurels.

Thank you to the team at Totteridge Academy for hosting a lot of visitors including me yesterday. Hearing the transformation over the last 5 years was inspirational and the impact upon the outcomes for disadvantaged students and their admission pledge is my kind of school.

And that's not to say that the asking/listening stops at that point either!

I think it's really difficult to judge how long you need to live in the context before enacting any meaningful change. This context is one where time needs to be dedicated to asking/listening, whereas others might need more/less time.

Without meaning to be reductionist, it also allows for easier comparison over time to see impact made.

Then follow up with 'You said, we did' or something similar to build trust.

Of all the books I've read this year, @joshpd.bsky.social 's 'Responsive Coaching' has been the best. Thought-provoking, research-informed and actionable, it is a must for anyone linked to PD.

So sad about this. @teacherdevtrust.bsky.social is a brilliant organisation. It will continue to do great work and have impact but it’s a loss to this bit of the system
