Yeah, it’s common practice for wizards to actually only exist one at a time in cities. Or with their apprentice.

There can be research libraries with more wizards in them, but they often don’t work well together in groups and would rather communicate every once in a while

Some are, but a common side effect of magic is dementia, but they don’t have a super good understanding of it so wizards just kind of go crazy eventually.

Nope, wizards are incredibly prideful, sometimes they kill each other over disputes on exact distances between stars

There have been conflict so bad between wizards based purely on astrological events that laws were put in place to keep wizards from interacting without supervision

Oh absolutely, wizards have a strange pseudo religion that they follow that is very strongly associated with the stars.

Most wizards strongly believe in a horoscope, and that it dictates fate.

This caused wizards to spend a lot of time studying the stars of the planets

This has caused a problematic fashion trend among the rich and Noble, which has caused many Noble women to decorate themselves with these black wizard pearls and slowly become thinner and more pale overtime eventually dying young

One popular myth that is believed in my world is the idea that Pearls that have been used by wizards in order to cleanse themselves of excess magic can be used by non-wizards to improve their health.

In reality, they are radioactive and dangerous

I do like that more, it also allows you to do fun stuff like an evil gold dragon or maybe even morally grey dragons that will help you at a cost.

Or even a chaotic good black dragon that lives in a swamp and asks riddles (from one of my campaign lol)

I like that a lot, in my setting dragons come in eight different varieties based on eight of the magic types, they are gigantic, intelligent beings with powerful magical abilities, but actually can’t shape shift and usually don’t interact with humans unless they are indirect control of them

The first game I ever played was pathfinder and then I was introduced dnd 5e.

DnD 5e I still play a lot, but I haven’t played pathfinder in nearly a decade.

I have also started playing a few new games like dagger heart and monster of the week, we have also considered playing fate as well.

Vampyre thrones are not completely weak to sunlight or any of a vampires other weaknesses, but their sickness can be treated.

But due to the warping effect that it has on the mind, most would not want to be treated as the sickness makes them feel strong and live longer

Oh but there is so much biology, the best example of a parasite tho would be how my world interprets vampires.

True blooded vampires are actually a fully separate species than human, with the unique ability to transfer their traits to hosts in a form of magical virus.

There is a mascot for the lantern festival Casanam, which is actually a legendary light dragon who shares a name with the festival.

The dragon supposedly was kind and generous, but has not actually been seen in centuries.

The different kinds of magic all have different effects when mana sickness occurs, but it is always caused when a wizard either gets very close to overloading with magic or survive overloading.

It can also be caused by extreme proximity or exposure to magic

This is a great question, I haven’t put a ton of thought into different diseases in the world, but I have put a lot of thought into mana sickness.

When a person is exposed to too much of any type of magic, it causes them to develop symptoms that start to break down their cells similar to cancer

Is this mystical ghoul a real creature that exists or existed or is it a complete fairytale made up to keep children from acting out?
