Valjan looks down at the sheep and pets it with a soft smile. Valjan, relieved: Ah, you're still here. A'rukay looks down at Valjan with a worried look. A'rukay: Why are you here?

Valjan looks away with a frown. Valjan: Oh. When I found her, she was cold and barely breathing. I didn't think she would make it through the night. Valjan: I wanted to stay here so she wouldn't die alone.

A'rukay frowns, listening. A'rukay: That is... A soft smile appears on A'rukay's face. He tilts his head slightly. A'rukay, genuinely: ...very kind of you.

Valjan turns his head back to A'rukay and grins. Valjan: Yeah, well... I'd want someone to do the same for me. One of the reasons being a wood warder would have blown. Valjan starts to stand up. Valjan: Guess now I need to figure out what's wrong with her...

A'rukay looks surprised, and confused. A'rukay, thinking: [He's not here... But, where?] A'rukay exits the tree house and walks out to the pasture to check there. No Valjan to be seen.

A'rukay looks towards the crops. No Valjan to be seen. As A'rukay approaches the spa house at the end of the path, something grabs his attention. A'rukay: !

A'rukay finds Valjan resting with his back against the wall and his head against a sheep. The sheep rests its head in his lap.

A'rukay enters the spa house and approaches Valjan. A'rukay, concerned: Valjan? Valjan wakes up, groggy. The sheep lifts its head up a little. Valjan: Wuh? Sick sheep: *bleats weakly*

Through the rain, Valjan carries the sheep in his arms back home.

The next morning, A'rukay is sitting at the table in the main cabin, sipping tea. He looks up in the direction of Valjan's treehouse with a confused risen brow. A'rukay, thinking: [...He is really sleeping in this time.]

Frowning, A'rukay sets down his cup of tea. A'rukay, worried: [I should check on him.] A'rukay walks towards the stairs that lead to Valjan's treehouse.

Ascending the stairs, A'rukay approaches the treehouse. A'rukay climbs the steps to find Valjan's bed empty.

Valjan doesn't show up for breakfast. A'rukay sets off to search for him and finds him in an expected place.

Valjan stops in his tracks suddenly, his eyes widening. The next frame shows the still body of a sheep laying in the grass.

Valjan looks at the sheep with a saddened expression and a deep frown. Valjan, thinking: [Oh...]

A soft bleat comes from the sheep, and it moves a little bit. Valjan looks surprised. Valjan, relieved: [Oh, you're alive!]

Valjan sets down his umbrella. He kneels in front of the sheep, opening his arms around it to pick it up.

After his count, Valjan pauses and furrows his brow in thought. He counts again, looking at the sheep in the pasture. Valjan, thinking: [One, Two... Three, Four...]

Valjan's expression grows serious. Valjan, thinking: [Five... Six...] Realizing a sheep is missing, he stares down at the path from where they came. Valjan: ...

Valjan walks back to the open field, umbrella still over his head as he looks to the right, and then to the left.

Valjan continues to look around the open field. He walks around, searching for the missing sheep.

A soft smile stretches across Valjan's lips and he closes his eyes in bliss, enjoying the weather. Shortly after, clouds darken the sky as thunder claps, announcing the coming arrival of rain. Valjan's eyes open wide in surprise.

Valjan sits up and looks at the cloudy sky as rain starts to pour down. Valjan narrows his eyes up at the sky with an annoying look. Valjan, thinking: [I'm going to lose it.]

Valjan stands to his feet. From off-screen, Valjan lets out a sharp whistle to call the sheep. The frame shows two of the sheep, looking at Valjan. One has perks up ears and a tilted head.

Back at the pasture, Valjan is counting the sheep again as they walk through the fence. Valjan holds an umbrella over his head. Valjan, thinking: [One...Two...Three...] Three more sheep walk by. Valjan: [Four... Five... Six...]
