The even more unbelievable crime fact (which I learned relatively recently) is that burglary has fallen by more than 90% since the 1990s.

Did anyone notice? Nope. Does anyone believe it? Nope. But is is true? It is!

100+ people are expected to defy Labour’s absurd ban at the Labour Party conference in Liverpool on Sunday.

πŸ₯€ Labour is complicit in Israel’s genocide, and they’re proscribing direct action groups to try and hide their own guilt.

Labour are right to lower the voting age.

But if they're truly serious about creating a fair democracy:

Time to abolish the unelected House of Lords.

And time for Proportional Representation for all elections.

Ed Miliband delivers defiant defence of Britain’s role in tackling climate crisis In first annual statement, environment secretary fought back against climate deniers, but his rhetoric needs to stand up to mounting political pressure

Zack Polanski, deputy leader of @greenparty.org.uk, said: β€œRight now, we subsidise jet fuel instead of trains. That’s a political choice and it’s time for this government to make different ones."

Sending so much love and solidarity to those affected and worried by the Supreme Court's awful, regressive decision passed this morning, taking us backwards at a time we should be moving forwards and making progress.

We wholeheartedly support the calls to appeal this decision to the European Court of Human Rights. At a time when trans and non-binary people bear the brunt of so much discrimination, we will continue to play our part: fighting for liberation, for equality, and for a fairer country for the whole LGBTIQA+ community.

Unsurprising that Labour, who removed clean air targets from its manifesto, is giving diesel and petrol hybrids another half a decade to be sold.

The 2030 phase out only applies to cars sold in the UK. Spinning this as a tariff response is nonsense.

Absolutely right. Time for politicians to start telling the truth - that migration is good for this country - instead of dancing to Nigel Farage's tune and whipping up dangerous anti-migrant hate.

Our roads no place for SUVs

European Transport Safety Council found that in a collision between a modest-size SUV (1,600kg) and a lighter car (1,300kg), the risk of fatal injury decreases by 50% for the occupants of the heavier car but INCREASES by almost 80% for the occupants of the lighter car.

What the Greens think they are doing A response to left commentators' criticism of the Green Party's performance

There’s been a string of left wing commentators having a go at the supposed underperformance of the Greens (latest was Owen Jones in the Guardian yesterday).

It really frustrates me how poor that analysis is, so here’s my review of their claims.

Hundreds of landlords tried to hike rents above cap, investigation finds HUNDREDS of landlords attempted to hike rents above government limits, in some cases trying to double them, an investigation by The National has…

In one case a landlord tried to raise rent by a staggeringly unaffordable 121%, from Β£520 to Β£1150!

Over the last year the rent cap has kept increases to a maximum of 12%. But the SNP allowed it to expire this morning.

They must reinstate the renters protections immediately.

Labour’s recent leaflet that boasts about deporting more people than the Tories is gross.

Labour is failing to provide safe and legal routes into the UK for asylum seekers, while seemingly revelling in turning people’s lives upside down.

Wales’s 20mph speed limit has cut road deaths. Why is there still even a debate? Research suggests the scheme may be more popular than thought, with consultations dominated by a loud minority

The switch to 20mph roads in Wales meant:

🟒 100 fewer dead or seriously injured
🟒 26% fewer injured
🟒 The lowest 3 month casualty figure since records began 46 years ago

That's in just the first year. Real lives saved, real families spared a lifetime of pain and hardship.
