1) Under SSP5-8.5, average annual water stored in both storage systems could drop by ~6.3% by end of century, mainly due to reduced inflows (−30%) and increased evaporation +8.7%

2) Small agricultural reservoirs are more vulnerable, with water storage reductions of up to −21%

We mapped over 1,000 small agricultural reservoirs, explored how #climatechange could impact their future #wateravailability and compared this with water storage dynamics of a planned large dam.
