The petition against digital ID cards has now reached 2.8 million. Keep sharing, it would be good to get this past 3 million by the middle of the week.

When it comes to intimidating racist protests including outside our homes or place of worship, Black and Asian people are supposed to just accept it and the government saying “we hear you” and “it is right to protest this” and “I love flags me”. No thought of “cumulative impact” for us!

They're using the St George's cross like a socially acceptable swastika just like they use 'biological' as a socially acceptable discrimination.

Such abuse is being legitimised by the silence of our Government - a government that is actually encouraging nationalism (st george flag flying) to appeal to Reform voters.

“Quite how asylum seekers living in hotels who are banned from working but are provided with meals and receive £9.95 a week are expected to afford any luxuries is unclear.”

This is ridiculous on many levels. Even people on welfare are entitled to things that give them joy. It’s what makes us human.

It is worth remembering that various governments over the years, even when claiming to have brought in progressive legislation for trans people, have often only done so after a European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruling.

The Gender Recognition Act (2004) is one such piece of legislation.
