Jason Hughes was a teacher. Some of his students TP'd his lawn & he ran out to confront them.
He fell into the road & was run over.
The kids face serious jail time but his widow is begging for the charges to be dropped.
Mercy & compassion. βοΈ

I look forward to the Pam Bondi impeachment presser where she just keeps screaming "THE DOW WAS OVER 50,000!"

2 years ago the "Truckers for Trump" vowed to boycott "blue cities" and support trump because he promised to drop fuel prices, roll back regulations & increase trade.
Trump has now:
- Increased fuel prices
- Increased transportation regulations
- Decreased trade

I will be completely unsurprised if this happened because the US used a target list supplied by Israel without properly vetting the targets.

Reminder:
Israel has long used water shortages as a weapon against the Palestinians.
Trump is literally using the Israeli playbook.
Oh hai Asian market.
Don't mind me if I stock up on some essentials! ππ

Imagine giving $143 million to an 8-day old company, made up of your friends and former aides, to produce a PR campaign that SHOULD have cost MAYBE $10 million.

This isn't Republican vs. Democrat.
This is conmen vs. their victims (us)

I mean... there is still a significant percentage of the US population that believes China is paying the Trump tariffs, so... yes?

This is Andrew Paul Johnson.
He's a J6 rioter who was pardoned by Trump.
He boasted about being "protected by Trump" & called himself "uberMAGA" & a Patriot.
...
He used his 2nd chance to molest children.
He will now spend the rest of his life in prison.

That peace-of-mind is worth more than all the dopamine hits from impulse buys & "revenge shopping" or the convenience of Doordash/UberEats.
I know some are barely hanging on & sometimes debt is inevitable, but when somebody makes this much money & STILL goes into debt...
*sigh*
Real "Treat Yourself" is:
- Living with ZERO Credit Card debt
- Having a big enough emergency fund that you never have to take out a predatory loan
- Sleeping at night knowing that you could lose your job in the morning and NOT have an existential financial disaster
"Treat Myself" doesn't mean blowing a paycheck on clothes and having to use Klarna for groceries.
"T.M." doesn't mean taking a payday loan to buy a PlayStation.
"T.M." doesn't mean impulse buying a new car at a ridiculous interest rate.
"T.M." doesn't mean financing a vacation with Affirm.
I understand that spending is addictive. I know it's possible to give up when the debt seems insurmountable. I've seen people blaming credit card companies for their spending habits.
I get that. I know it's a coping mechanism.
But the "treat myself" mentality really upsets me.
I was just advising a former student w/significant ($360k+) debt with info on consolidation and budgeting.
She has a good job ($120k/yr) but just can't stop spending.
After hours of negotiating a budget she quit, saying:
"You don't understand. Sometimes I NEED to treat myself!"

One of these Senators served his country as a warfighter & was persecuted by Trump for reminding his fellow warfighters of their oath.
The other talks about being a warfighter while cowering & was rewarded by Trump for ignoring his oath.
In other words...
"Warfighter" vs. "Warfighter from Temu"
If this is true, that the Iranian vessel was returning from an international exercise with other countries INCLUDING the United States - and was thus unarmed - & that the US did not make efforts to rescue the crew, that makes Hegseth the "Secretary of War Crimes"

How many work in the Vatican?
--- About half.
(That's a quote from Pope John XXIII) :)
But seriously... about 1000.
30 years ago, the movie "Wag the Dog" told the story of a US President that started a fake war to distract the country from the fact that he SA'd a child.

tl:dr
When the president changes his story so much that his underlings have to contradict themselves not to make POTUS look worse than he already does.
Pope Leo is not the first US Pontif.
He is the first Pontif born in the US.

American Nationalism has no place in a worldwide Church.
And not every world leader can be bought with gold trinkets.
