End of our week off, but it’s been amazing with fantastic food and quality time with Cat. It’s nice to go away for hols, but this was a perfect alternative to avoid the stress of taking a nearly 2year old away.

Having an amazing week off work so far. Poor Emrys is still stuck in childcare which means Cat and I can pretend to be carefree for a bit.

You tried warm bath while ice pack to your neck same time? Ginger and caffeine also good I believe. Although everyone I know who gets migraines usually have limited success with anything and end up just lying down in dark room for ages

I have the most beautiful wife. Yay for parents babysitting and NYE parties.

So far Butlin’s is a big hit for Emrys. Getting on well with the food, and he is absolutely loving the softplay slide and the Tots Fairground. It’s so lovely to see him so excited.

Maybe GenAI will let slip how we can achieve free unlimited energy for the world, paving the way for a life where we don’t have to worry about poverty anymore…… I’ll get my coat.

Looking forward to Christmas! Having an 18 month old really puts the delight back into the season, we are having great fun with the tree and particularly advent calendar.

Local to us were the floods in Monmouth and Abergavenny - Monmouth hit the news in a big way, but not a peep about Abergavenny. I guess they just pick based on likely ratings now?

Had a lovely time in Devon at Otter Falls cottage. Last day was particularly amazing, a very casual and natural zoo with bears and wolves. Emrys was a little ill, we think he had a mild allergic reaction, but he also enjoyed himself. Particularly playing with dogs, football and swings.

Stick with it for 10 or so years, then we will have 3 months a year under ice. No rain at that point.

Got to Otter Falls - we have a super cute cottage for 2. Emrys is loving the croissants we had as part of a hamper, and all the geese and dogs to make friends with. He is not so much of a fan of the cot and heating here so he isn’t sleeping well 😭.

Hoping it will be for a week at the lodges 😊. Missing you and Will this week

Been a long week visiting London, then Norwich, then Liverpool. Very glad to be on the way home and spending some time with Cat and Emrys. Missed them so much!

Feeling your pain. A day or two is fine, but more than that and I feel like I lose so much sanity prepping before I go and catching up when I return, that the holiday is almost not worth it.

Mostly a lovely weekend. Spent quality time with Emrys Saturday. He is growing so fast! at a lovely age where he is learning to enjoy cuddles, laugh with abandon while playing with a ball, walk and talk. We bought his first pair of shoes today.
It’s all a nice distraction from the world events.

Where were you? Lovely areas around Pembroke, Aberystwyth and Fishguard. Just so difficult to get to, although I guess that’s why they stay nice.

How are there so many people supporting Tommy Robinson? Did I miss something? And how is it ok for Musk to be encouraging them to ‘fight’ towards dissolving or changing the government?

Tube was mostly ok, strike ended yesterday. But my heart sank as I just missed my train, and the next train was cancelled. Apparently due to people trespassing on the tracks earlier. But got home safe and not too late in the end.

Drew the short straw, and nursery have sent home ‘Rosie’ for the week for us to take on adventures and take photos. Emrys is supremely uninterested, every time I show him Rosie he throws her across the room. I am wondering if he knows something I don’t, maybe it’s cursed?
