Not as busy. Didn't have that much time to read, and it took me forever to finish Fool's Errand.

Onyx Storm was WILD and I read it in 3 days. Thoroughly enjoyed it, too.

What's the genre, what's the premise and what can I expect. All genres come with their own set of tropes. Sifting through mountains of trash it's not wrong to know what a book entails and get a hint if it's something I would enjoy before buying it.

Just had a thought. If the #tiktokban goes into effect, what will all the #booktube people post about if there's no booktok-trending books to roast into oblivion in 7h long videos, or latest booktok drama to milk and dissect. Oh! And no more "gross smut" to judge people about. 🤔

I think we have to just face the facts that a lot of big and beloved creators will disappear as well. Either because their community gets scattered and/or the new platform doesn't boost or favor their style and format.

If TikTok gets banned in the US it reminds me of Vine. Where the algorithm and the format just didn't work on any other platforms. Vine-creators flooded YouTube back then. Some were able to adapt and carce their niche, but the majority of HUGE creators on Vine just disappeared. (1/2)

I find it fascinating how exactly two videos about skipping paragraphs were ever made on TikTok and everyone on YouTube used exactly only these two videos repeatedly and called it "TikTok is bad because everyone doesn't actually read"
