I currently have commission work closed while I get through my current workload, but everyone’s openness to deadline flexibility has been a boon to me while I get things in order. Thank you once more. πŸ™

I know (most) of my clients don’t follow me here, but I need to give them all a shoutout for being so understanding this season while I work with them, and tackle my personal life/health simultaneously. You’ve all been so understanding, I couldn’t ask for better people to work with. 🌱

A drawing of some things you might find in a kitchen: a tea towel, a bundle of herbs (parsley, thyme, sage, bay), two wooden spoons, some butcher's twine, a cutting board, a big knife, a candle stub on a little plate, a ceramic jar, some cardamom pods, a garlic bulb (bisected).

Two colour illustration of Barad DΓ»r, with Sauron's eye at the top. surrounded with the ring inscription in elvish. the sky is red with sparks and ash floating in the air, the tower is above a fiery chasm. The front doors are glowing red with silhouettes of chains and armouries. A cloud of ash conceals the horizon. This will be a banner and riso print first. Digital prints coming later this year.

The view through an open archway of a ruined stone structure. Beyond the winter sky is pale and desaturated with the sun barely visible in contrast. Thin stones make up what remains of the structure. A weathered copper sun sits above the keystone. The trees in the background are all skeletal and bare. The snow in the immediate foreground suggests the last dregs of winter when the season drags on forever.

As a native Californian, I really enjoy the change in seasons that I experience living in New England. There is even beauty to be found in the shadows of the leafless trees against the pale gray winter sky. 1/2

The same ceramic sphinx in the last post now digitally illustrated.
In the top panel it sits with a giant grin, speaking. The text reads "A man in a car saw a golden door, a silver door, and a bronze door. Which door did he open first? The car door!"
Bottom left it goes flying through the air, mouth open in a snarl. The text reads "Riddle failed! (Mind you they are the size of a kitten, don't worry about it). Bottom right shows them curled up on their back, blissfully relaxed, eyes closed for a nap. The text reads "Two minutes later". Scattered throughout the illusration are three small, simple doodles, looking up in wonder at a flowering plant, on its back, legs sticking straight up with a frustrated expression, and the last one; tail high with a happy smile.

I've been so tickled after making the ceramic sphinx in my last post that I couldn't help but draw them for some fun this weekend :)

Multiple angles of a ceramic sculpture of a tiny sphinx against a white background, only a bit over an inch or 2.5 centimeters long. They're standing, head slightly raised. It has a silly, happy expression. Its brown body is densely packed with black stripes, contrasted by white wings, white tummy, and a white star on the nape of its neck.
