A very small giant house spider crawling on a hand.

I found the tiniest giant house spider I’ve seen yet. I rescued them from a laundry basket, took their picture, then let them go in a secluded corner of the house.

I measured the stock whorl by wrapping string around it, marking the overlap, then measuring the distance. The larger groove has a stated ratio of 8, and a measured ratio of 8.778. The smaller has a stated ratio of 9 and measured of 10.351. Production error maybe? 2/x

My whorl for my Schacht spinning wheel is noisy due to poor fit on the square shaft. I designed a replacement whorl using the drive wheel size and ratios posted on their website. It is obviously bigger than the stock whorl. 🧶 1/x

I made two grievous mistakes in my sweater sleeve. Time to rip back a bunch. It’s somewhat subtle in the picture, but I have two times where I purled two rows consecutively. It’ll eternally bug me if don’t fix it. 🧶

A 3d printed plastic piece is screwed to a light switch to hold it in the on position.

We have motion lights that keep getting accidentally turned off. After trying a couple models off the internet, I made one that works right.

My dad was down to one pegboard hanger for his corner clamps, so I measured and printed some replacements. They worked the first try!
