08.09.2025 10:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The headline is Abolish Landlords.
The motion itself says it's an effective abolition, ie, not a straight ban but a process of dismantling the private rental sector through taxes and regulation while building council housing.
Again, you could read for yourself. It's not that taxing a task.
"remove the ban idea"
You haven't read it then.
You can only really have a serious discussion if you read it.
That's a fact btw. You wouldn't care. I have made you care about it by calling it something provocative.
08.09.2025 09:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If it wasn't called Abolish Landlords you wouldn't be talking about it.
08.09.2025 09:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It's here if you want to read it.

You literally haven't read the motion.

08.09.2025 08:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The main problem is that most of this policy, which will shrink the private rental sector, has been policy for 4 years, we need to make it a national issue and this is the way to do that, by calling a spade a spade.
And yeah man, I'll be there, say hello. ππΌ
The idea that just because Germany's rents are marginally lower than the UK's means they don't have a housing crisis is devoid of reality. The Netherland's rents are slightly lower, and housing will dominate our general election.
08.09.2025 08:43 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thanks Alex!
08.09.2025 08:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Germany has large corporate landlords as opposed to the dominance of small individual landlords in the UK.
Berlin literally had a referendum on expropriating the large landlords and they voted yes.

CBA with doing this "Progressive Alliance" bollocks for another decade.
I will simply vote Green and campaign for as many years as it takes to get a Green MP. I don't care to try and game the system like a middle class armchair general.
I'd rather that than Molly's personal brand of absolute mind numbing boredom politics.
Absolutely nothing exciting ever, that's the Scott Cato prospectus.
Amazing. No notes.
10.04.2025 08:13 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Playing by imagined establishment rules rather than carving your own path. Literally nobody is asking you to be racist it's disingenuous to suggest any reporter is asking the Greens to be racist.
They're saying be populist. Be interesting. Pick fights. Jfc this isnt that deep.
But in the interview @carladenyer.bsky.social literally describes what @lewisgoodall.com said we do!
Play by the rules, sit in the chamber, write letters and debates, submit amendments. "Oooh isn't it bad Reform aren't in the chamber"
Reform are all over the headlines. They're winning rn!
This is where Leftwing media can be useful to the movement. What are the leaders doing to improve the party and its Comms? What is their plan to improve it? Don't get fobbed off witha nice answer really go at it!
02.03.2025 17:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I thought I might be being uncharitable but the lovely interviewer kept trying to point out that @greenparty.org.uk is terrible at social media and Carla can't respond with much.
They're only now developing a strategy to work as MPs?! Wtf? They've been candidates for almost 3 years!
To get there, we need a new generation on GPEx. And get rid of @greenpartymolly.bsky.social. ππΌ
28.01.2025 12:30 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Green MPs come from a very narrow background, they all fit a certain personality profile.
We need MPs who can **fight**. Who can make Labour pay in the media and at the polls. We need a new generation of Green MPs who can communicate to voters!
As I've been saying for years now. The Green Party Exec has fundamentally failed to invest in it's communication infrastructure.
A *single* employee on social media is a shambles. I'm glad I'm not the only one calling this out. @owenjones.bsky.social
www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
But otherwise, seeing @greenpartymolly.bsky.social called out in the Guardian is rather fun.
28.01.2025 12:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The idea there's widespread respect for the GPEx member who cost us 90k+ in legal fees and broke internal election rules and hasn't once apologised is wrong.
Other than that yes.
Btw, this isn't new for me, I've been banging on about it for about 6-7 years now.
14.01.2025 12:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The membership want us to be ahead. But they consistently refuse to vote for anyone with actual ideas and creativity, they vote for the name they recognise. Again, infuriating. Unless you"'ve got the capital to spend going to local parties or patronage to do it.
14.01.2025 12:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Like, the people with the ability to change it literally don't care enough because they're either old/middle-class/ rural types who love talking about young people's future but don't know how to save a pdf, or they're already elected and don't see the personal advantage. Mad.
14.01.2025 12:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Talking inside the Green Party about how we've fundamentally failed to engage properly with social media, how the party's failed to invest, how the leadership make 0 effort to lead, is perhaps the most infuriating pastime I could have chosen.
14.01.2025 12:32 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have literally no idea what that means in this context.
