Did you know that Foucault's respect for the natural sciences is crucial to making sense of his work?
Check out my article, "Foucault's Naturalism", which has just been included in the most recent issue of Philosophy & Social Criticism

Maybe, but Foucault's position is something of a moving target (especially between the archaeological and genealogical periods). I also think much depends on exactly what one means by "interpretation". My take is that he ends up complicating the dichotomy between "interpretation" and "description"

Everyone talks about 'necropolitics'. But does Mbembe actually succeed in distinguishing this idea from Foucault's conception of biopolitics?
My new paper in Theory, Culture & Society tackles this exact question.
Check it out here (open access!): doi.org/10.1177/0263...
"The normative stakes of Foucault's engagement with neoliberalism: Seduction, invention, and normalization" has been included in the latest issue of The Southern Journal of Philosophy!
TL;DR Foucault was NOT seduced by neoliberalism
