Academics (including the journal’s founder) told Wiley to pound sand, started an open access journal, and Wiley just surrendered. I think more academics should tell academic publishers to pound sand. They are vampires.

Good news: Our project "Platformisation in Health and Social Care" has been awarded a Research Grant Development Award by the Foundation for the Sociology of Health and Illness (UK)! I'm looking forward to leading this work as a Co-PI, and developing a research agenda with brilliant scholars.

Dr Elifcan Çelebi will deliver the Annual Emre Işık Memorial Lecture at Maynooth University on Monday May 12 at 4PM.

She will reflect on Turkey's political turmoil, exploring authoritarianism amid economic recession, its resilience, and ongoing protests.
