Saturday afternoon double feature. Have had part 2 for years but couldn’t watch it without part 1. Finally got the luck and matched up the tapes. Don’t know the circumstances that I was shown these films back as an ‘80’s kid, but they sure stuck with me all these years.

Not too many tapes in my collection go back all the way to high-school, but I’ve had this one since fresh from Music City. Fun re-read of A Crackup at the Race Riots #book too.

It was painted on Tuesday and someone did burnouts on it that night. I reported that as a hate crime and was brushed off. That night the swastika was painted. Scary for us adults too. There seems to be a coordinated effort to intimidate 2SLGBTQIA+ citizens of this town.

If it was done for straight Pride it would be one thing. If it was done in spite of 2SLGBTQ+ Pride than it is hate speech. Intent is crucial and an act of intolerance to intimidate a minority is hate speech. Sugar coating it as free speech makes you an enabler, or maybe just a “good German.” 1/2

“Spring” was the theme last photo club meet. Shared one of my kiddos in the puddle but I had also thought of this oldie. Not technically a spring, but it has that spring shape. Very tiny and brings light to the world.

#Survivor snoring coincidence. Got a new VHS tape today which was dubbed with no label. Total mystery what was on it. Turns out mostly cable junk but also Survivor: Thailand (season 5) which starts with Clay Jordan snoring. Funny since tonight they showcased Mitch sawing logs 😴

H. G. Wells’ The Shape of Things to Come, but barely related to the original source at all. Space sci-fi on a low budget for some glorious cheese. Surprisingly sweet cinematography made it quite fun.
