Vrouwelijke onderzoekers wachten tot 10 weken langer op publicatie dan mannelijke collega's, blijkt uit studie van UHasselt  | VRT NWS: nieuws Vrouwelijke onderzoekers moeten tot 10 weken langer wachten voor hun wetenschappelijke artikels gepubliceerd raken. Dat blijkt uit een grootschalige studie van de UHasselt. Vooral vrouwen die alleen publiceren of samenwerken met andere vrouwen, lopen extra vertraging op. "Dit zet vrouwelijke wetenschappers op een aanzienlijke achterstand", zegt professor Bruns van de UHasselt. Een verklaring voor het verschil kan het onderzoek niet leveren.
