I am obsessed with every single thing Link does in Wind Waker. I was so impressed with how expressive Donkey Kong was in Bananza during moment to moment gameplay but I forgot Nintendo has just been at this shit for decades - mastering charm.

UFO 50 hitting Switch has increased the quality of every hangout with the buds by 200%.

Playing Wind Waker for the first time and holy moly this cel shading is like a hot towel and massage for my eyeballs. This is the kind of game you unearth from a tomb 900 years from now and it still looks brand new.

So much of what I love about Musou games and Survivors-likes is cooked to perfection in DK Bananza. Being able to eviscerate everything on screen, whether that's enemies, or just big fat stacks of mud is so satisfying. And it only gets better the more Bananza forms you unlock. Design masterclass.

We can stop pretending that every modern FF game sucks just because Expedition 33 is good. I know it's the safe way to feel right now, but Rebirth is a fucking banger from heaven.

I can think it's cool that Sandfall visited Square to share ideas while also thinking modern Final Fantasy is juuuuuust fine.

While you're waiting patiently for Hades 2 on your Switch 2 might I happily suggest checking out Astral Ascent? It's been my Steam Deck obsession for a minute and I have double dipped and can confirm it runs great on Switch 2. I think you'll enjoy yourself.

I think playing as DK in Bananza is the most fun I've ever had taking control of a character in Nintendo history. Obviously I'll have to sit and really think about this more later on but fuck they really fine tuned this shit.

I feel like we didn't do enough as humans to deserve Expedition 33 and Donkey Kong Bananza in the same year but I'll take it.

Donkey Kong Bananza is video game ASMR for me. The sound design, the visual feedback, the chill exploration through environmental manipulation, it's all so fine tuned to make me feel so relaxed. This game is incredible.
