Thia realization and the rant i had to rewrite because i accidentally restarted bluesky was started by seeing the sliver of muscle behind the shoulder and having all the blocks slide into place

If you move the arm, what happens? The shoulder moves. The lats move. The pecs move. The traps squish or flex.

If you dont have a solid idea of how the shoulder bones work what becomes tough to draw? All of the abooovveeeee

What i for one struggled until literally just now was aiming the shoulders, drawing the neck too flat and not knowing where to draw the lats bump.

Which in turn leads to odd necks, flat pecs since you dont know how far back they connect and most importantly:

REFERENCES AND POSING IS A PAIN.

For this simple tiny tweak also affects poses from the front. The rear deltoid starts from the scapula and the neck muscles that cape around your neck begin from the process that connects to the collarbones. Then like mentioned lats wrap around.

Without this understanding of the depth from behind
