planning my convention inventory for next year and realized the fanart stuff i feel inspired to draw rn are not at all pay-my-bill type fandoms.... rn the list is: dcmk, golden kamuy, and tengoku daimakyou (which literalllly ran out of chapters so s2 of the anime prob isnt coming out for yrs)

the colors r inspired by hu lu wa.. but then i changed it a lot... did anyone watch this show when they were young lol i remember thinking it was so scary when i was 7ish. the english name is apparently Calabash Brothers which ew lame

I dunno if you've ever read any of her fanfics, but they're like a (4,3) and some of them hit that same sweet spot for me of plot+worldbuilding->perfect expression of the theme. wld recommend

omg scholomance is one of my favorite series! the way the worldbuilding is combined with the themes is so...good.... i wish it was more well known

uprooted by naomi novik for (4,2)! the romance isn't till later in the book tho... also some may find the pairing questionable.. but its a really good fantasy book

i started the book health communism recently and it got me thinking about this set of ideas again... i might write an essay no one will read..

andor s2 rly did something for me in the moment I was in when it came out... i read the dispossessed pretty soon afterwards, and also reread blessed is the flame, and these 3 things together kind of defined where my head's landed this year
