As of this moment, it is *not* too late to call our showboating lightweight mayor & yell at him about the need to Pause Evictions, Save Lives. He’s getting an earful from landlords today so it’s crucial that he hears from every last one of us. Tell him NOT TO VETO this crucial measure: 673-2100

This guy doesn’t even actually say this shouldn’t be happening. He just thinks it’s inevitable pain because we “need” a crackdown, and that after the current pain (read: horrendous violation of human rights) things will settle down to business as usual (he will no longer be directly impacted)

This is why people are still trapped in their homes here, unable to go to their jobs (jobs which may not even exist anymore), sick with worry over how they’ll pay bills and remain housed.

Do you ever just stop and think about how the federal government is attacking our state physically and financially *because* we were actually living too well by their metrics and the they can’t tolerate the integral part that immigrant and POC Minnesotans play.

A thing that happens a LOT:
charges get brought & that becmes the historical record because the State/Fed/whatever part of the carceral system doesn't give the same air to the outcome, forcing the charge to be the narrative, shaping the court of public opinion.
