Some more clouds! This one went a lot smoother than my last cloud painting. I still struggle with getting the values right because gouache applies so much lighter than it dries. But this was good practice ☺️

Absolutely love the colours, this is gorgeous!

My current favourite paint colours for forests are olive green and cadmium lemon. They create such a lush atmosphere.

I’ll be honest, I hate this painting. But that’s ok. I’m trying to get better at not putting so much pressure on myself for a painting to work out. Each painting is a step towards improving. Also, I want to try to make my painting process less chaotic, and more intentional.

I think this one turned out quite well, though I’m not sure about the yellow highlights on the trees in the back. I’ve included the reference photo I took. I’m still learning how to simplify the busyness you find in nature into more simple shapes.
