emma nelson makes for a fantastic mean girl character, arguably better than paige or even holly j imo. all these characters were iconic in their own ways tho, but emma was especially good at hurting other ppl, and the difference is is that she wasnt type casted as a mean girl like the other two

now i havent watched heated rivalry but the premise of gay hockey players is reminding me of crushed

it gives this “forbidden romances like age gaps r so romantic and swet” when the reality is that the age gap they have and the positions they r in (teacher and student) make any relationship fucking gross

i appreciste that in degrassi, when paige is with the teacher dude, all rhe adults who know act with disgust like ew thts fuckin nasty (as they SHOULD) but i wish more of the students felt the same bc the way marco encourages it rlly gave the wrong message to teens watching it at the time

i also find it hilarious when people who have never smoked weed write it like its some sort of psychedelic — which is another substance in writing u can tell whether or not theyve tried

theres a few things in writing u can tell whether or not the author has experienced. like therapy, or even smoking weed. i rarely read smth where they go to therapy and it’s so like real to what it’s actually like, n yea it IS different for everyone but u can still tell if theyve never been

u kno in degrassi its crazy tht like it isn’t until like way later seasons tht they talk abt gangs being at the high school, bc like where tf was this all the other seasons? but u kno i would believe that jay and his friends were in one so ig 🤔
