How have the #Canucks young players progressed so far this season?

#Canucks goalie Kevin Lankinen has six quality starts in 15 total starts (40%) so far this season.

That's the lowest mark of his career and below the league average of 54%.

My single beer was more expensive than the ticket to see #VegasBorn play New Jersey on a Friday night.

Of course Foote is fighting for every point and relying on the veterans who he trusts so we probably won't see this but I still think it's a good idea.

t's time for the #Canucks to stress test Aatu Räty.

His advanced numbers look solid in slightly sheltered minutes but he's played over 10 mins in just one of past 6 games.

You need Cs? Let's see what you have here. Give him some more minutes and see if the numbers hold up.

How can Canada get the most from Connor McDavid in the Olympics?

They rotated through a ton of wingers at the 4 Nations.

Could one of Bedard or Celebrini be the high hockey IQ linemate he needs?

Feel free to disregard for small sample size, but it's fun to get some positive talking points:

Petey played 3:01 against MacKinnon at 5vs5 in the first period and shot attempts were 4-0 for #Canucks during those minutes.

#Canucks Pettersson/Kane/Lekkerimäki line had a solid period.

Drew O'Connor tied for 13th among all NHL players with five 5vs5 goals in November.

He was tied with players like Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews, Sidney Crosby, and Tage Thompson.

He had more 5vs5 goals than guys like Connor Bedard, Cole Caufield, and Necas.

Elias Pettersson scored 14 points this month. The last time he did that was exactly a year ago in November 2024.

The last time he scored more than 14 points in a calendar month? January 2024, right before his play fell off a cliff.

That's some encouraging progress.

Quinn Hughes led NHL with 27:49 of ice time per game in November across 12 contests.

That's nearly a full minute more than the second-place Zach Werenski (26:54).

The #Canucks captain has a massive workload this year, plus the condensed schedule and Olympics.

32nd in the NHL in all three categories.

The only NHL team with more regulation losses than the #Canucks is the #Flames.

With the Leafs/Oilers struggling too, it's been a rough season for Canadian teams so far.

Filip Hronek's strong play is flying under the radar this season.

#Canucks have outscored opponents 19-10 during his 5-on-5 minutes this year.

Hronek has also played at least 80 5vs5 mins with three different Nucks defencemen as the team has struggled with injuries.
