hi, i played the newzealand story untold adventure on steam, the remake of taito's 1988 classic arcade platformer, it's very bad!! i was gonna save this for a stream but it's too much of a downer

so here's a thread of things that are bad about it

there are multiple map errors as well. 3-4 has these blocks that form a 'bridge' across the lake but while they remembered to draw them in the background, you can no longer jump on them.

3-1 is missing a hole in the wall so you have to go the long way around, making this part of the map pointless.

collision detection is a big problem. in the original, tiki can sit under spikes safely, but if he jumps, he dies

this uses the original maps but doesn't adjust them for the new spike collision that makes you take damage at any point in the spike, so this 4-4 shortcut hurts you now
