Publicity isn't a federal matter. It'll all be state law.

Purely from an IP law perspective, trying to "opt out" something that is at minimum a right of publicity issue and which has potential reputational issues for the involved experts is a bold move.
A very bold move.
A really really bold move.
Whoa!

10.03.2026 00:43 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0This is a very common problem between minority communities: people often try and demonstrate how bad an attack is on theirs by saying some variation of "Imagine if they said this about [x other minority]." But, of course, they *do* say that about [x minority!] Fairly often!

Ok, the bits of the column that I've seen are actually dumber than the headline, which should not be possible.
Like, my dude, when I order a large quad shot chai I'm not announcing my supremacy or individuality, I'm saying that I have to survive three meetings before noon.
THIS.

Oh, Monday.
Becky's car just got towed.
Anything bought from the sourced stuff will go toward getting them back on the road. Thanks, folks.

Of that list, based on what the put in published materials, if I asked "which one doesn't have a documented habit of sexual assault or child abuse?" it would probably take you four guesses to get it right.
Hate how these guys have to use clickbait titles and framing. Legal Eagle's breakdown videos are great for "Please explain this to me like I'm educated and decently bright but this is in no way my area of expertise."

09.03.2026 19:46 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0You aren't coming straight out of college so the experience of law school will be different (and better). There are groups with names like OWLS (Older and Wiser Law Students) for finding classmates with similar experience. It may help you cut down on eye-rolling the 21 year olds.

If you know what you want to do as a lawyer, you can definitely key your search, schooling, classwork, and professional work in that direction.
But don't overdo that, take some of the things that are useful outside of that. I found Trusts & Estates and Income Taxation very useful.
Your LSAT score will affect what schools accept you, which does matter, but more for what professional doors it will or won't open for you than anything else. If you have a goal in mind that may matter less (not sure how much of your initial comment here is suggestive of that).

If you came into this going "I want to be a lawyer," no.
(The Traditional Advice is usually given to dissuade college students who don't know what they want to do, and decide to go to law school because it's more school, they like to argue, lawyers make money, and/or they were told they'd be good.)
It is the traditional advice from lawyer to prospective law student, anyway.
