This would be better than any treble or quadruple imo. It's unlikely to happen but it would be incredible

Gotta same I'm not complaining with their tactical choices! πŸ˜‚

TBF English rugby fans are insufferable regardless of the result...

It was practically written by the narrative god's....

This actually makes a lot of sense tbh. It also suggests that the coaching setup is wrong. Who is challenging Arteta? He's played that front 3 multiple times and it hasn't worked. Timber is knackered and he still doesn't play White. Norgaard can't even get a game against bottom of the table etc..

19.02.2026 09:20 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I agree with the premise but this team and more importantly this manager have not demonstrated an ability to solve the problems facing them. I reckon I will be able to know how our season is going to go when I see the line up for the Spurs game....

19.02.2026 08:22 β€” πŸ‘ 4    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

... otherwise he has to go in the summer. He's been given the tools to succeed but has kept making bad decisions in terms of tactics and selection this season.

He's clearly a good coach but maybe he's just not the right coach to get the team over the line...

Completely agree. Apart from the European games and the spurs match, we've been awful to watch. When you win and have a chance at a trophy that's fine but when you can't control a game against bottom of the table it's hard to get behind. Imo Arteta has to prove he can adapt and get over the line...

19.02.2026 08:21 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Completely agree. It seems he's a Goldilocks manager. Unless he has all his favourite players available he struggles to play with control. As good as Zubi and Rice have been I feel our midfield balance is still not right. When you play boring football you have to win & even our set pieces have gone

19.02.2026 08:16 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Random thought occurred to me, do we need Carlos Cuesta back? Not to overplay his importance but are we missing his voice. One that encourages and builds the players up and can relate more easily to them? Seems to me the coaching team isn't quite right based on what we've been seeing on the pitch

19.02.2026 08:13 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Got what we deserved. And worse, the psychological damage of that result will kill this season. Everybody is laughing at us.

Manager got it completely wrong, players completely off it.

How are we ending that game with guys who can barely run? Mad.

Unfortunately I completely agree. I also think that this rests very much with Arteta. At the moment he seems to be setting up the team to fail. Lack of rotation, lineups that don't work and a negative approach.

Now is the time he proves himself as a manager and coach. Is he a winner. We'll see...

19.02.2026 07:58 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

You know it's a bad result when even the usually chipper American Gooners have nothing positive to say...

19.02.2026 07:55 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I'm a naturally pessimistic person so I've been expecting our inevitable collapse but last night really pissed me off. Too many players were poor last night but I blame Arteta. We had success when we could defend and control games. That's gone and we look mentally and physically gone...

19.02.2026 07:55 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Someone once told me sport was 20% physical ability and 80% mentality. Not sure I agree but psychology definitely matters. Personally I think it's what separates good from great players/coaches. Understanding how to block out the noise and perform when it matters is something Arteta needs to do now

19.02.2026 07:43 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

It's times like this I'm pleased that I don't have to write about Arsenal for my job. Not sure any editor or any media outlet would be able to publish my current thoughts on last night's performance! πŸ˜‚

For all the talk of Arteta being a great coach, now is the time we see if he's a winning one...

19.02.2026 07:26 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Couldn't agree more.

19.02.2026 07:22 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Yep that is one of the things that frustrates me the most tbh.

19.02.2026 07:22 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Arteta built a team on being able to defend and control games. That's gone. The club added depth to mitigate injuries and he seems reluctant to use some players. Lots of players look physically and mentally drained. Arteta has to prove himself as a manager now otherwise it's game over imo.

19.02.2026 07:21 β€” πŸ‘ 7    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

This team will be forgotten unless Arteta changes his ways which I just can't see happening. City are far from perfect but they actually seem to want this title. We looked good because we barely conceded and controlled games. We can't do either now and we look mentally weak. Hard to see a way back

19.02.2026 07:16 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Part of the issue is that Arteta hasn't used the squad properly. Zubi and Rice were nonexistent last night but still Norgaard doesn't play. Timber was dreadful, no White. That front 3 doesn't work and still Arteta persists with it...

19.02.2026 07:14 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

It's easy to blame him but equally lots of poor performances...Timber kept giving the ball back to Wolves, Martinelli and Jesus wasted great chances to make it 3-1. Our midfield was nonexistent in the 2nd half and GyΓΆkeres is literally incapable of holding the ball up which is not helping

19.02.2026 07:11 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Exactly. Managers are good at different things. We have had Arteta transform the club but maybe he's just not going to be a trophy winner at Arsenal. I hope I'm wrong because the manager market will be very competitive in the summer...

18.02.2026 22:25 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Arteta has to go imo. Either that or he needs a major coaching reshuffle. You can't keep being nearly men and sometimes it needs someone different to get you over the line.

18.02.2026 22:16 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I hate the phrase but this was completely 'bottling it'. This team deserves to get criticism and so does the manager. For all the good he's done he should have learned his lesson instead the party boat is taking on water fast....

18.02.2026 22:14 β€” πŸ‘ 9    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

We are far too easy to play through. When we weren't passing it straight to them, wolves fought and pressured us for the ball. We let them run at us and wide open space to run into...

This team has A) Forgotten how to defend B) Forgotten how to control games and C) Cannot take chances. Not good...
