Cat in the Hat 2003 is better than Grinch 2000 simply because it doesn't have a terrible middle act. If the entire Grinch movie was as good as the first and last acts, it would likely be the better movie.

The Grinch 2000 felt way more authentic than Cat in the Hat 2003. Not sure if it was the lack of CGI or better costumes and lighting. IDK.
