I am legally obligated to mention the time this happened to Alabama, and they were forced to finish the game playing 3-on-5 (and nearly won!).

Turns out the best way to teach kids to read is by actually teaching them how to read. Who would've guessed!
I would imagine it's seen as a more "efficient" method of progressing students (especially when you have so many students reading below grade level), despite being demonstrably worse than other approaches.
On the bright side, more and more states are banning it and seeing drastic improvement.
The smile brought on by reading about Rodgers being worse than Spencer Rattler was immediately killed by the follow up phrase "worst team in the league."

04.11.2025 20:28 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I agree, I'm just looking at it from the standpoint of:
Jets have made 34 first round picks since 2000. If you rank that group, the two guys they traded are probably both inside the top 5.
Plus, they went with nearly this same formula in '22, and it didn't lead to success.
Maybe, but only if they can actually turn all those picks into something more meaningful than two All-Pro level defenders. I'm skeptical.

27.10.2025 20:13 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0NTFB is great, but supporting smaller orgs who don't have the same marketing budget is probably a good choice. Most people will likely not have the same thought process as you and will support the larger org they've heard of, plus smaller orgs are generally less equipped to deal w/ spikes in demand.
