strange to say the least. incoherent, actually.

really sorry to miss it. saw your post yesterday but was unsuccessful at the cloning attempt.

chronicling the journey of these images, here with test strips. the night photo is easy to manage, the other two need more contrast then tests as ghost images before settling on their final form. i’m doing this in real time, as a way to show the fits and starts required to bring new work to life.

lights on, with a follow up tour…

posting from the darkroom today, showing how i set up to process sheet film, which is identical for each format from 4x5 to 16x20-inch sheets.

it may be, but for my one hour daily allotment i’m down with anything that keeps me from instagram. i don’t find it terribly social either, yet, but find the lack of noise makes me turn toward other important life stuff i’d let go of. books jump immediately to mind.

next saturday is the medium festival of photography in san diego… a free event that has more ways to engage with creative photography than one i’ve attended, much less heard about. it’s how we do “awesome”. the pie was just sweetened with a raffle—mark you calendar and plan to join us on 3/22!

if it helps, she’s the only cc member who’s ever come to a medium event, and the only one who consistently votes in favor of us getting funding in the “arts culture community festivals” grant program. not even our home district (looking at you sean) is a reg. supporter of our funding.

my guess is, like everything tramp does, it’s all about the optics. the fact they were sitting in a bathroom in the first place… not an office, storage room or even a garage where normal humans store stuff… it speaks volumes about his need for them.

i wonder about the cost of unemployment as well… both the price of gov’t compensation and the economic effects of people who don’t have money to spend. neither seems to be given any attention.

ouch. i love what la luz does but poaching an idea like that directly from @mediumsandiego.bsky.social is not cool. even the workshop name is the same. medium and la luz are joyful partners in every other regard… why would they do this?

agreed, i don’t think i give a dime to any of these. i’ve been an anti-amazon crusader for years except as an option of verrrry last resort.

omg. i never liked the house rental bnb thing anyway… it strips usable homes from the market (housing crisis, anyone?) and puts career hotel staff out of work. replaced by landowners who masquerade as hotel professionals… as a kind of money making hobby. it’s disgusted me since day 1.

funny, i just watched that video two days ago. such powerful memories!
