Block-corrected modularity for community detection Unknown node attributes in complex networks may introduce community structures that are important to distinguish from those driven by known attributes. We propose a block-corrected modularity that dis...

Our paper about discounting the influence of node attributes from detected communities in networks is out in Physical Review E!

New paper in PNAS!🎉 doi.org/10.1073/pnas...

Is herd immunity to infectious diseases effective when induced by natural infection? Earlier studies have suggested that population heterogeneity makes disease-induced herd immunity more effective than previously thought. Our work challenges this notion.

Is Bluesky a bubble?

We collected all 1B+ posts since Dec'24.

13% of content is political.

We found high polarization, but also strong imbalance: on most topics, the opposing stance made up just 1–2% of users.

Strongest split: Gaza, Ukraine, Musk & Trump

In our new preprint, we study the herd immunity effect against infectious diseases induced by natural infection (i.e. immunity is gained after exposure to the disease). arxiv.org/abs/2307.04700
