Back in August I had to get some cash out of the bank and the teller says “oh hey, you’re got a bunch of money in this account, you should look at this money market account”. I looked at it and figured I’d go ahead and do it. I moved some money over and was getting a couple hundred a month.

Anytime we go away we always have high hopes. We found a breakfast place last night and we’re like “ok cool breakfast is sorted”. Woke up this morning and we’re both like “I don’t really want a big sit down breakfast”. Happens every time. 🤷‍♂️

My ability to get called for jury duty right before I have a trip planned is unmatched. Got the summons to show up on a Thursday and I have a trip planned on that Monday. I can't really complain last time I was called it got cancelled because of COVID. Rescheduled for some time in May

And then the next episode they had to go and ruin it. It does set up for season 2 pretty nicely. The weakest part of the story was his wife. Her character just wasn't written well. Like it was multiple writers who didn't consult with each other from episode to episode. But overall we liked the show

We finished Day Of The Jackal last night on Peacock. It was good, could have been better. There's one plot point in the show and when it was clear where they were going I thought "oh they're not going to go there" and then they went THERE. It was like "oh umm oh he's really going for it".

Stan has a work trip coming up to Vegas soon. Spouses were invited. We start looking on Rover to have someone come feed the cats. The people on there range from $17-$35 per visit which is reasonable. But that's for 1 cat, each additional cat is $7. We have 5 total, so there goes that idea.

I keep seeing posts about how happy/excited people are that they're going through with the sentencing tomorrow. I just have to say, most of you are going to be VERY disappointed. Sure he's a convicted felon but he's also President in 10 days so what do you really expect them to do?

I keep seeing that picture of Mr. Beast getting engaged on my feed. There’s something really sad and dystopian about him proposing while he, his girlfriend, and another person in the pic are all wearing his merch. Even during a private moment you can’t stop with the branding. Just bleak.

Not setting any New Years resolutions or intentions this year. Very low expectations for the New Year. I am going to try to watch Bridgerton finally though. I started the 1st ep last night, so already a head start on that.

While we’re on the subject of Christmas movies: a lot of names get thrown around for being the “Queen of Christmas movies” and I feel like @hilariebmorgan.bsky.social has to be in that conversation. She’s in so many and she’s great in all of them.

Watching a Christmas movie (because of course I am) and the lead actress has a cute gay best friend. Well, I thought. Then his gay brother shows up and I’m like “Lifetime is not putting gay brothers in a movie”. Yeah, he’s gonna be in love with the lead girl. That’s a shame

I finished Squid Game last night. Still enjoyed it (I love shows/movies with games in them and Korean shows/movies), but I wish it felt more like a complete season instead of part 1 of the final season. It having no real ending bothered me. But it's still a fun show.

Really thought I killed it this year. Was happy with the Christmas cards I make, got people things they wanted/needed, wasn't stressed out. And then I saw that Hanukkah started yesterday. Yeah...I had the wrong dates and thought it was like 2 weeks ago. I've had my menorah out for weeks. Oops

Came home last Friday and Stan was like "I have a cold". Spent 2 days being sick, then had to go out of town, I had no symptoms so I figured I was good. The night before he comes home I start feeling sick. After everything this year, if I'm sick on Christmas I'm gonna lose it

While I appreciate people still buying Christmas ornaments 6 days before Christmas, I've seen how the USPS is working this year and it's very unlikely they'll get to them before Christmas. I'm gonna make a 2nd trip to the post office today but it's out of my hands now.

Guy buys something on eBay, it gets returned to me. He says "that's so strange, I was having my house fumigated and had my mail turned off but it shouldn't have been returned to you". Now, he's claiming he has no idea why it wasn't delivered in a complaint to ebay.

Watching one of those “hire a guy to pretend to be my boyfriend for Christmas” Hallmark style movies and the guy is 100% going to murder this family. I mean, he won’t but it’s a fun set up for a movie if they wanted to make it.

Decided to watch a Christmas horror movie while I did some work this morning. It’s at a suspenseful point in the movie and a girl is crawling through a tunnel. Tell me why at that exact moment the art directly behind my head slipped off the nail on the wall and moved. WTF??

With that #Chiefs win, I can share my hottest football take: If you kick a field goal and you hit the upright you should get extra points. If you hit it and it still goes through, it should be worth more than a touchdown. It just seems harder to do than putting it between the uprights.
