I think you're underselling how cool being on the front lines standing against tangerine tyrant's gestapo and making it clear that, if they want to tenderize innocent American citizens they have to go through them, would make a lot of Democrat politicians look.

Kat Abughazaleh literally has been doing this in Illinois. She got slammed to the ground by ICE and still gets up and tells them to fuck off, and it makes them looks like fascist bullies and cowards and makes Kat look like a badass fighting for Americans.

Unironically I would like to see more Dem politicians doing exactly that. If we need to sell to the public that there's an authoritarian fascist threat at our door, let them dare ICE and Nazis to tenderize our elected officials for the world to see, expose them for the brownshirts they are.
