Mark Brokaw has died. We worked together five times (3 production of The Lyons). He was a brilliant director and my dear friend. Funny, smart, kind and the epitome of class. He loved the theater and I loved him. The world feels very different to me today, emptier and sadder. Thank you, Mark.

The people of Madrid are so lovely! 2 days on a row I had to go to a big med center for some tests. Daunting as I don't speak Spanish. Both times a VERY kind person lead me by hand to where I needed to go. muchos muchos mantes gracias!

This is a picture of Madrid last night, during the blackout. (as chance would have it I was in London for just one day (dental work) and I missed the WHOLE thing!!

Go for it! I moved to NYC when I was 16. Best decision I ever made. Then, knowing no one, I uprooted my life and moved to London 8 years ago. And then again this past summer, I uprooted my life and again knowing no one, I moved to Madrid. Change is exciting and good!

One of the oddest & most amusing things in Madrid is this store, Surprise Box. (I think it’s a chain.) They sell undelivered mystery packages. They're all in white plastic bags and you pay by weight.Crazy huh? I mean you might get a diamond ring (I doubt it) or a dozen kitchen sponges (more likely).
