oh thank god...good to know I'm not the only one lol. Yeah im slowly realizing this fact has made me feel pretty alienated from my work and not sure how to deal with it. Even I'm not sure how to describe my illustration work without that word!

Confession: I secretly cringe when my work is described as 'cute.' It never felt right to me. I can't help but feel that if I were a man, my work would be described as cartoony or stylized, not cute. It feels diminutive, even tho I know that person has good intentions.

The biggest indicator that a post will go viral is how much it dunks on an outgroup, and honestly that hasn't really changed much here on blue sky.

AI got me thinking is that we humans really just dont want to be human anymore. We decided its hard. So we’ll trade it for convenience of Ai. Soon being human wont be about connecting to people; it’ll be about being happy the easiest way possible. And that might not involve humans directly anymore.

In short if you have an immigrant in your life, LISTEN TO THEM and do what they say to keep yourself safer from border police.

All I can say is, sometimes what looks like anxiety, or catastrophizing from the outside perspective of a natural born citizen is actually...in light of recent events....VERY FUCKING LOGICAL.

Seeing whats happening when ACTUAL US CITIZENS cross the border has dispelled those feelings expeditiously. I'm now urging all of my friends and loved ones to GET PASSPORTS even if you don't plan on crossing the border, and to not cross the border at all, if you can help it.

When someone starts to doubt your fear and caution, you start to feel crazy. Maybe you are 'catastrophizing' as a therapist would say? After all, her border crossing went fine.

I spent time trying to repair the friendship after an initial confrontation had yielded no understanding or seeming care on her part. It didn't work.

As a kid I was taught to be STFU when crossing the border because essentially in that moment the border guards control your life, as a special status immigrant.

Immigration story time: One time I lost a friendship over a friend not understanding how upset I was with her for intentionally risking a smuggling charge when crossing the Canadian border. She dismissed my feelings and fears.
