Third Way et al have made a, to be fair, defensible fetish of courting "working class" voters. Trouble is, those voters are figuring out it's the brokeness not the wokeness that's fucking them over. Third Way is trapped on a dead end street.

We can and should support the Iranian people's heroic efforts against their authoritarian regime and at the same time also recognize that only authoritarians win in war. Solidarity to all people bravely battling regimes hell bent on destroying our lives to seize and hold power.

Epstein, ICE and war on Iran are all driven by the same agenda: to attack and destroy anyone who does not look, pray or live like the MAGA Murder Regime deems worthy.

DO name specific villains, creating a large “us” and a small “them.” “MAGA regime/Trump regime” “Iranian government/Iranian military” “Israeli government/Israeli military/Netanyahu” DON’T use “Iran,” “Israel” or “America” to shorthand a government, military or ruling faction. Specify the leadership is responsible for these atrocities and the war, not the people who live in these countries. DO call for Congress to pass the resolutions already in the House and Senate to end this war. DON’T call the act the “War Powers Act,” despite this being the official name. To laypeople this makes it seem as though we seek for Congress to declare war, instead of end it. DO emphasize outcomes - how this threatens the lives of everyday people around the world and the safety of our families here at home. We need Congress to end the war, not to authorize it. DON’T emphasize process - how Trump violated the Constitution by bypassing Congress. Our goal is to have Congress stop the war, not have it proceed under an officially approved process. DO call this action by Trump “criminal.” DON’T call this action “illegal.” It is illegal to speed, it is criminal to murder. Our arguments should focus on life and liberty for all people.

Bravo Sánchez, who in the face of ongoing authoritarian fear mongering and violence, continues to stand for people no matter what they look like, where they come from or how they worship.

DOs and DON’Ts DO call this out for the evil it is and connect it to other harms of the regime: “From Epstein to ICE to Iran, this regime commits crimes against humanity.” DON’T talk about this as a “distraction,” as it belittles the horrific human toll. Further, messaging about messaging isn’t persuasive. DO make clear the horrific human toll: “This regime is killing people for power and profit.” DO, especially if you are a messenger credible to conflicted Trump voters, emphasize this is a betrayal of what Americans want and need. DON’T rely on hypocrisy arguments such as “Trump ran promising peace but is dragging us to war.” This credits the previous statement and implies what’s wrong here is inconsistency instead of evil. DO, when speaking specifically of the lies peddled about Iran’s involvement in the election, remind Americans that “this regime/Trump wants to control the outcome of the election.” DON’T repeat Trump’s lies about “election fraud” in an earnest effort to rebuff them. DO call this war “Trump’s war” DON’T call this war “America’s war” or simply “war.” DO say “war on Iran” DON’T say “war with Iran,” which implies a mutual back and forth.

We are coming together to demand that our leaders in Congress do their duty to end this war and block this MAGA murder regime so we all can live safely and freely, no exceptions.

Now Trump has attacked the people of Iran in an effort to seize and hold more power no matter the will of the people, threatening to drag us into another endless war while peddling lies to control the outcome of our next election.

No matter where we live, what our background, or how we worship, we all deserve a life of safety and freedom for ourselves and our families. But from ICE to Epstein to Iran, this MAGA Murder Regime is determined to destroy the lives of children, families, and anyone who stands up for our freedoms.

Authoritarians are the only winners in war.

Speeding is "illegal." This war on (not with) Iran is criminal. Among the litany of crimes against humanity perpetrated by the MAGA Murder Regime.

Saying "it's a distraction" is saying you care nothing for the little girls bombed out of existence for being born where they were.

Epstein, ICE, Iran - all of it - are Crimes against Humanity by the MAGA Murder Regime.

Praying for the people of Iran and an end to this hell.

MAGA is killing people for power and profit.

The "gotchas" around Trump et al having said promised peace and now creating war lends credit to those earlier statement and implies what's wrong is being inconsistent when it's actually being evil.
