Oh, absolutely
Even with release of its "big brother" Arknights doesn't even show signs of slowing down. It still getting better with every update, but it also means there a lot, and I mean, a LOT of stuff

Information overload is a real so if you going to try it - play at a comfortable for you pace

In the end, I still think Endfield is a good Arknights game. Given time, and willingness to dig deeper than the surface level.

Gameplay still requires to think about it, and worldbuilding is cool as ever.

Well, in short, Endfield has to cater more toward general audience and deal with much higher monetarily stakes, with respective consequences.
Plus, shift in main genres compared to the first game.

While the Doctor (og) feels more like a bystander, where the first meeting with one of the key characters and allies of yours almost ends up in her killing you on the spot (and for a reason).

Out of like 400+ playable characters there maybe only 10-ish that actually feel romantic towards the protag

Coming from perspective of og Arknights players - Endfield is more sanitized, less dark, less grounded and the player character feels like a regular hero protagonist that loved by everyone-

Depends on the angle you look at it

Endfield is magnitudes more expensive to develop and maintain than og Arknights, which resulted in less generous gacha and every second character introduction feeling like a date, because they have to sale those characters to get money spend back

MyGo feels like more or less as a regular "cute girls doing cute things" in school band settings

And then- Ave Mujica happens..

Demo version on Steam is free and is a good representation of the full game, so it is quite easy to test if it sticks out to you

As a person who played all of those I would say-

Do a chess move and try out Approaching Infinity instead

It is a "tiny" cute space roguelike with a ton of cool stuff, which very likely may burn many hours of your life (as it did to me)
