I indulged myself a short break off Xmas cleaning. I spent it listening to a great audiobook and painting skaven. Most relaxing.

This is an endemic issue thru the whole hobby. E.g. go to any web store selling miniatures or printable 3D files. Search for a woman magician or dual wielder. Your search will offer corpses, men, and increasingly lurid sex bombs with assault breasts, but no properly clothed or armored individuals.

If there's one thing about RPG and strategy miniatures I wholeheartedly dislike it's the lack of representation. I'd also appreciate if we had women minis in more than the "assault boobs and high heels" variety. Sexy is a complex concept, sure, but going tits ahoy as your only option ain't it.

It is the season. Concept of a happy Jack by kids, cutting by me, pumpkin brain scooping by all (with a lot of laughing ewwws by all).

So fun to see the first three back to back in a movie theater, and from original film copies no less. I've lost count on how many times I've seen each, but I do know I was eight years old when I saw the first one.

IT ME

If there's one trope I particularly dislike in video games is the disabling of player character in cutscenes. You wade thru 50 enemies, an unstoppable combat monster. Then the cutscene starts. Someone knocks you out with a branch, or you're suddenly afraid of a single pistol.

Still my favorite coaster.

I told the kids to be careful with the stereo volume, as walls of sound can be really loud. I demonstrated this with Strapping Young Lad's Detox, which is so very gloriously loud, and cranked up the volume. The kids answered by pumping up the volume _even more_, and setting up a two-person mosh pit.
